Central Internal Audit Unit (CIAU) organized the first ever annual staff meeting for the Internal Audit Common Service at Bingu International Conference Centre in Lilongwe on 4th July 2018.
The meeting was attended by over 90 internal auditors from all the audit units in the Ministries and Departments. The main purpose of the meeting was to reflect on the performance of the service during the 2017 – 2018 financial year and share planned activities for the 2018 -2019 financial year.
During the meeting other issues like staffing, strategic plan, automation of the service and legal frameworks for the service were discussed. In his opening remarks the Acting Director thanked the internal auditors for upholding their integrity during the reporting period and urged them to continue doing so. On their part, internal auditors thanked CIAU for organizing such an important meeting and appreciated for their recent promotions.
